Texas Man Arrested for Arkansas Road Rage Shooting with Child in Car

A Houston man has been arrested following a recent road rage incident on Interstate 40 in Lonoke County, after the Arkansas State Police responded to reports of gunfire involving a black Cadillac sedan with Texas plates.

The driver of the targeted vehicle reported that the suspect fired at him but managed to avoid injury and maintain control of his car.

Troopers later located and stopped the suspect vehicle on Interstate 30 near Hope. Michael Evans, 35, from Houston, Texas, was arrested and faces several charges, including Committing a Terroristic Act, Unlawful Discharge of a Firearm from a Vehicle, Aggravated Assault, and Endangering the Welfare of a Minor.

During the investigation, two semi-automatic pistols were recovered from the vehicle, and it was revealed that a minor was present during the incident.

Evans was taken to the Lonoke County Detention Center.
