A 20-year-old woman from England tragically lost her life in a two-vehicle accident in rural Lonoke County on Friday morning, as reported by the Arkansas State Police.
The incident occurred at 8:10 a.m. when Bailey Winkler, driving a 2023 Kia Sportage, veered across the center line on US Highway 15 and collided with a 2019 Isuzu NPR-HD. The Isuzu was driven by 51-year-old Brandon Bridgman, with 56-year-old David Fields as his passenger.
Both Bridgman and Fields sustained injuries and were subsequently transported to UAMS and Baptist Springhill hospitals for treatment. Winkler was pronounced dead at the scene.
At the time of the accident, weather conditions were clear and the roads were dry.
To date a total of 138 fatalities have been reported on Arkansas highways in 2025.
