A tragic accident occurred in Dallas County Monday, involving a two-vehicle collision that resulted in the death of a Hot Springs woman and injuries to a Camden man, according to a report from the Arkansas State Police.

The incident took place on Highway 9, where a 2012 Ram pickup, driven by 41-year-old Thomas Clay Gresham, veered off the road and collided with the rear of an unoccupied tractor-trailer parked on the shoulder. Sandra L. Cline, 42, was a passenger in the pickup and was pronounced dead after the crash.

Gresham sustained injuries and was taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Hot Springs for treatment.

The Arkansas State Police report noted that weather conditions were clear and the road was dry at the time of the accident.

This incident adds to the 135 fatalities reported on Arkansas highways so far in 2025.
