At its last meeting, a 2025 budget proposed by Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson was defeated by an 8-5 vote of the Quorum Court.
Prior to that meeting, Robinson had tried to get a second budget, one proposed by the 8 JP’s who opposed his budget on the meeting agenda but failed.
He talked about that when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
“The budget they were trying to push did not move forward,” Robinson said.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Robinson about the procedures ordinance that was adopted by those same 8 JP’s that strips some of the power he had, and Horne wanted to know if that ordinance is in effect now?
“If that’s not what they like they will have to challenge me,” Robinson said.
On another subject, Robinson was asked if he was going to run for reelection with Horne reminding him that the Arkansas General Assembly had moved the primary from May to March.
