UPDATE: The Pine Bluff Police Department has identified the victim as 26-year-old Asa Stewart of Pine Bluff.
ORIGINAL STORY:
The Pine Bluff Police Department responded to a report of an unresponsive male at an apartment complex located at 2600 W. 30th on April 18, 2025, just after 2:30 AM. Upon arrival, officers found the male at the top of a staircase with apparent gunshot wounds.
The individual was pronounced dead at the scene by a deputy from the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
The investigation is in its early stages, and the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being determined.
There is currently no suspect information available. Police identified the victim as Asa Stewart, 26.
