Since becoming the Executive Director of the Pine Bluff Convention Center Barbara Dunn has dug in and gone to work to help make improvements that will attract more business to the Convention Center.
Offices have seen upgrades to include painting, new furniture, and other amenities as well as a thorough cleaning of chandeliers in the theatre portion of the Convention Center.
Dunn spoke with Deltaplex News Wednesday night about some of the upgrades.
There have been people who have said that attracting events to the Convention Center is something that couldn’t be done. However, the facilities are being used more often and Dunn says even more events are coming.
One event that is coming up that always draws a crowd is the Sahara Shrine Circus, which is scheduled for April 5-6.
