Two Pine Bluff residents were arrested Friday on multiple drug and weapons charges.

Alexis Brewer, 22, and Rashaun Webb, 20, were taken into custody after Tri-County Drug Task Force agents received information about possible drug related activity at an apartment where Brewer lived.

Both Brewer and Webb were accused of violating the machine gun act, simultaneous possession of drugs and firearms, possession of a controlled substance with purpose to deliver, possession of drug paraphernalia and criminal use of a prohibited weapon.

During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel explained the circumstances that led to the arrests.

Akel then told the court what investigators found.

She said the total weight of the suspected marijuana was 56 gross grams and the Glock handgun had a switch making it capable of firing as a fully automatic weapon.

Webb has drug related charges pending and is out on bond on those charges so his bond on the new allegations was set at $75,000.

Brewer is on probation and prosecutors have filed a motion to revoke that probation. Her bond was set at $50,000 cash only. Brewer and Webb were told to come back to court April 14.
