At its regular monthly board meeting Monday, Watson Chapel School District Superintendent Dr. Keith McGee announced that the district and the University of Arkansas at Pine Bluff have agreed on plans to allow high school students to receive college credit while taking their regular courses.
McGee talked about the plan when he appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
Morning Show host Greg Horne told McGee that parents who want their kids to get the full four-year college experience, they will be able to have multiple majors, get master’s degrees and the like for the same amount of money.
Horne said he assumed that the program will attract the top-tier students, the better students who will take advantage of it.
Horne also asked who will be teaching the classes and where will they be held.
