A $10,000 cash only bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of stabbing another man Thursday.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Monroe Nesby, 32, with first-degree battery.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Ty Spradlin said at about 2:30 a.m. Thursday, Officer Rick Bunting was at the Warming Center at 1305 E. 6th when he heard someone yelling.
The victim was taken to Jefferson Regional Hospital where he talked to police.
Nesby is currently on probation after being convicted of a felony. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Feb. 28.
