A $25,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of trying to rob another person Thursday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Patrick Hall, 42, with robbery.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Corey Wilfong, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said Thursday afternoon, police were sent to the Jefferson Square Shopping Center where a Sheriff’s deputy was holding Hall at gunpoint.

Hall reportedly told police the victim had asked his girlfriend for money and claimed the victim had a gun. He also said he did not know why the fight started.

Hall was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Feb. 21.
