A $50,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of shooting his girlfriend in November.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Corvise Hall, 23, with first-degree domestic battery.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Dante Nicholson, Chief Deputy Prosecutor Jill Reed said on Nov. 9 at about 11 p.m., police were sent to the Auburn Apartments on South Fir Street in response to a shooting victim.

Police were called back to the apartment Thursday because Hall had returned when he was questioned, he admitted having a gun and firing it but said shooting the victim was an accident and he was trying to shoot a mirror.

Hall was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Feb. 10.
