A $10,000 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff woman accused of not scanning items while working at a cash register at Lowe’s.

La’Paris Harris, 22, allegedly admitted she had not scanned items “3 or 4 times a week” and prosecutors said an estimated $34,000 in merchandise was taken.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Dante Nicholson, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter explained the scheme.

Because of the total amount taken, the theft is classified as a Class B Felony, prosecutors said. They also said an investigation into the incident is continuing.

Harris was told to come back to court Jan. 31.
