Two separate $10,000 cash only bonds were set Friday for a man who allegedly threatened two different women over a one-week period.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bonds after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Asa Shavers, 22, with two counts of first-degree terroristic threatening and aggravated assault on a family or household member.
Prosecutors said Shavers is currently on probation and a petition will be filed to revoke that probation.
Reading from an affidavit by Detective Ryan Edwards, Prosecuting Attorney S. Kyle Hunter said the first incident occurred Dec. 11 when police were sent to a hotel on Blake Street is response to a reported armed disturbance.
The victim said she and Chavers, who is the father of her child, got into an altercation.
The second altercation occurred one week later, Dec. 18, and involved a different victim but the same circumstances.
Shavers was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Jan. 31.
