A $15,000 cash only bond was set Monday for a White Hall man currently on parole after he fled from state troopers on a motorcycle and a gun was found on his person.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Billy Brown with fleeing and being a felon in possession of a firearm.

Deputy Prosecutor Shana Alexander said Brown was arrested after Trooper Smith saw him cut across a parking lot at Bryant Street and Dollarway Road in an effort to avoid the traffic light.

Brown has numerous prior felony convictions and is currently on a suspended imposition of sentence. He was told to come back to court Jan. 14.
