Legislation is expected to be filed this week in anticipation of the 2025 session of the Arkansas General Assembly dealing with the addition of online 50-50 drawings to benefit college athletic programs.
The drawings call for 50 percent of the money to go to the winner and the other 50 percent to the college athletic NIL fund.
Carlton Saffa, Chief Market Officer for the Saracen Casino and soon to be resort talked about the need for NIL money on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show.
Morning Show host Greg Horne asked Saffa why does this proposal have to go to the legislature. Couldn’t the State Racing Commission (Gaming Commission) do it like they did when they approved on-line gambling.
Saffa said there legislation will be forthcoming dealing with correcting what he sees as the flaws in what is being proposed.
