Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame inductees include PB Wastewater Utility Manager Ken Johnson

Pine Bluff Wastewater Utility General Manager Ken Johnson is one of three people who have been named to the Arkansas Aviation Hall of Fame by the Arkansas Aviation Historical Society.

Joining Johnson are the late Marion B. Burton, who was an associate of the late Governor Winthrop Rockefeller, and the late John Dale Price, who received the Distinguished Service Cross for service in World War II. Burton died in January of this year and Price died in 1957.

Johnson is credited with bringing the Black Pilots of America organization to Pine Bluff for Operation Skyhook, an annual event Memorial Day weekend.

The three will be inducted in a ceremony Thursday night beginning at 6 p.m. at the Ron Robinson Theater in Little Rock.

At the ceremony, seven young people will be awarded scholarships for participation in aviation careers.
