Carlton Saffa, Chief Market Officer for the Saracen Casino discussed the casino license vote

One of the many decisions Arkansas voters will have to make when they go to the polls Nov. 5 is the fate of a casino license that has been issued to Pope County and the city of Russelville.

A group backed by the loser of the casino license is supporting an initiative which was take that license away by changing the state constitution, which is how casinos were first approved.

Carlton Saffa, the Chief Market Officer for the Saracen Casino was asked about the issue and began his response by saying that the Saracen Casino does not have an official position on the issue.

Now you’ve got that issue then you’ve got my favorite one, the one I told a Little Rock television station a couple of days ago, like your old literature class in school, a tale of two cities, Russellville and Pine Bluff.

Saffa appeared on the Oldies 1013 Morning Show where host Greg Horne said he did not like it being so easy to change the state constitution that they can delete Russellville. Who is to say they can’t build one someplace else like Little Rock of Texarkana.
