Calipari Discusses Sunday Scrimmage in Pine Bluff, Non-Conference Schedule, & More

The Arkansas Razorbacks held a scrimmage inside of the Pine Bluff Convention Center Sunday evening in front of approximately 3500 fans. The event took place one night after a similar event in Hot Springs, which also drew approximately 3500 fans.

The University of Arkansas only had 12 days to promote the events, but Arkansas Razorback head basketball coach John Calipari was impressed with the turnout.

He also shared why Pine Bluff was selected to host an event.

The Hogs shows a fast paced game plan during the scrimmage, but Calipari said he needs contributions from his full team.

Preseason college basketball rankings should begin coming out soon. With the Hogs expected to be ranked Calipari was asked his thoughts on rankings, as well as how the non-conference schedule shapes up.

Arkansas will tip off the 2024 season on October 25 with an exhibition match up against the Kansas Jayhawks at Bud Walton Arena in Fayetteville.
