Pine Bluff defensive tackle Danny Johnson has been voted as the Week 4 Kevin Bonnette State Farm Jefferson County Player of the Week after recording 8 tackles, to include 7 solo tackles, 1 tackle for loss, and 1 sack in the Zebras win over Jacksonville on Friday night.
Johnson spoke with Deltaplex News to give his thoughts on what it means to him to be named Player of the Week.
Johnson said he thinks playing a tough non-conference schedule could help the Z’s moving forward in conference play.
Johnson currently has a 3.6 GPA and has landed scholarship offers from UAPB, Northeastern State, Tuskegee University, and several others. He gave his thoughts on the UAPB offer.
He also spoke about his goals for the remainder of his senior season.
