The Arkansas Travelers made a late season push to get into the Texas League playoffs and then knocked off Springfield and Midland to capture their first Texas League Championship since 2008. They clinched that title on Wednesday night with a 5-4 win over the Rockhounds at Dickey-Stephens Park. Shortstop Cole Young scored the winning run in the bottom of the 9th to take the title. Young is one of 5 Travelers who have been selected to play for the parent club Mariners in the Arizona Fall League with starts next month. The champion Travs will start their 2025 season on April 4th on the road with a banner ceremony and the home opener scheduled for April 8th.
