Three people were killed in three separate traffic accidents in Pulaski County this weekend, two on Saturday and one on Sunday.
According to preliminary reports, the victims were identified as Jamecio Williams, 36, of North Little Rock, Jesse Henderson, 50, of Sherwood and Lavell Garrett, 41, of Jacksonville.
Williams was killed when he was working on a 2008 Mazda that had broken down on Interstate 30 eastbound in the Number #1 lane when the Mazda was hit in the rear by a 2017 Volvo that was traveling east on I-30 at the 133-mile marker.
Williams was taken to a Little Rock hospital where he died.
That accident was reported at 2:45 a.m.
Eighteen hours later, Henderson died while riding a 2008 Harley Davidson south on Highway 67 south in the number one lane. Another motorist merged into the lane causing him to brake suddenly and the motorcycle began to skid, and he lost control, and the bike began to slide on the left side. A 2018 Dodge that had been southbound in the number one lane and did not see the motorcycle on the ground before striking it.
Henderson was taken to a hospital where he died.
On Sunday at 3:31 a.m., Garrett was killed when the 2001 Chevrolet he was driving on U.S. Highway 67 northbound at mile marker two left the roadway and struck a concrete wall. The vehicle then ran across all traffic lanes and struck the concrete median wall and overturned.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
