The Jefferson County Clerk’s office would like to get the following notice to the public as soon as possible:
Act 736 prohibits the County Clerk from sending unsolicited absentee applications to voters who have not established recent contact to request a new ballot application. All voters who wish to receive an absentee ballot must contact the County Clerk’s office. The Jefferson County Clerk’s Office has absentee ballot applications available to the public. They are available Monday thru Friday from 8:30 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. if you would like to vote by mail. You may also visit our website at http://www.jeffersoncountyar.gov/elections-voter-registration to download an application. Please mail, fax, or scan and email the completed form to the Jefferson County Clerk’s Office.
Important Dates to Remember:
– September 6, 2024: Deadline to make applications for absentee ballots available
– September 19, 2024: Deadline to start sending Absentee Ballots out to residents
– September 20, 2024: Deadline to send UOCAVA Ballots out
– October 7, 2024: Deadline to register to vote in General Election
– October 16, 2024: Sample Ballots available on Voter View Website
– October 21, 2024: First Day of Early Voting 8:00 A.M.-6:00 P.M. (To Include Saturdays, 10:00 A.M.-4:00 P.M.)
– October 21, 2024: First Day Bearer to pick up a max of 2 Absentee Ballots
– October 29, 2024: Deadline to receive Absentee Ballot Applications by mail, fax, or email
– November 1, 2024: Deadline to receive in-person Absentee Applications for Absentee Ballots from the voter, bearer, and administrator
– November 4, 2024: Early Voting Ends, 8:30 A.M.-5:00 P.M.
– November 5, 2024: Election Day- 7:30 A.M.-7:30 P.M., (Residents will cast vote at their precincts)
– November 5, 2024: 7:30 P.M. deadline for county clerk to receive Absentee Ballots by mail, physical delivery of agent

– October 21, 2024 through November 4, 2024
