A $2,500 bond was set Tuesday for a Pine Bluff woman previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery after she was arrested on a new allegation Saturday.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Aliza Eans, 28, with second offense third-degree domestic battery, a felony.
The allegation was based on a probable cause affidavit by Detective Mike Merritt that Deputy Prosecutor Katelyn Phillips presented to the court.
Phillips said Eans was previously convicted of misdemeanor domestic battery in December 2021. She was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Sept. 27.
Zanea Urquhart, 19, who was also arrested for domestic battery was released pending further investigation.
