A $25,000 cash only bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man currently on probation on domestic battery and drug related charges.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge James Lewis, 56, with second-degree domestic battery and possession of a controlled substance methamphetamine.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Katelyn Phillips said on Aug. 19, police were sent to 2801 Argyle Street in response to a disturbance.

Lewis was ordered to have no contact with the victim and told to come back to court Sept. 23.
