A $15,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who led sheriff’s deputies on a high-speed chase in the early morning hours Sunday and had suspected drugs in his possession when he was taken into custody.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Christopher Armour, 39, with fleeing in a vehicle and possession of a controlled substance.

Alexander said Armour has prior convictions over several decades but is not “currently on paper” (probation or parole)

He was told to come back to court Aug. 26.
