Two single-vehicle traffic accidents over the weekend resulted in the deaths of two men, and injuries to a third.

According to preliminary reports, one of the accidents occurred in the early morning hours Friday on Arkansas Highway 35 at the Drew-Cleveland County Line while the second happened Sunday afternoon on Arkansas Highway 160 in Bradley County.

In the accident Friday, Cadyn Clark Haddock, 18, of Monticello was northbound driving a 2007 Lexus LSL on Highway 35 in Drew County when he failed to negotiate a right-hand curve and lost control of the vehicle which left the roadway and hit a tree. After impact, the vehicle rolled over on  its top.

Haddox was killed and a passenger in his car, Kasey James Stewart, 18, also of Monticello was injured and taken to Drew Memorial Hospital.

That accident was reported at 4:25 a.m.

On Sunday, Jeffrey Wayne Allred, 38, of Hermitage was eastbound on Arkansas Highway 160 when the 2016 GMC Sierra he was driving ran off the roadway to the right. The vehicle then returned to the roadway before Allred lost control and the vehicle began to skid sideways, crossing the center line, running off  the roadway and striking a tree before becoming fully engulfed in flames.

Allred was pronounced dead at the scene.

That accident was reported at 8:35 p.m. near Johnsonville.
