Tyler Zuber, who’s contract was recently picked up by the Tampa Bay Rays, was elevated to the Major League roster. He made his debut today (7/22) against the New York Yankees in Yankee Stadium. Zuber, a 2014 White Hall grad, pitched collegiately at Arkansas State and was a 6th Round pick by the Kansas City Royals. He was the highest drafted player in ASU history. He later pitched for the Arizona Diamondbacks and signed a minor league deal with Cleveland, before being picked up by the Rays in May. In his first outing against the Yankees today, Zuber pitched an inning and a third and gave up a homerun to Yankees slugger Juan Soto.
