A Pine Bluff man was arrested Tuesday after he allegedly pointed a gun at several people and threatened to kill a police officer.
Richard Kirklin, 44, was taken into custody after police were sent to a reported armed disturbance on West 12th Avenue at 2:34 p.m.
During a court hearing Thursday, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said the victim reported that a man later identified as Kirklin had pointed a gun at her and other people.
Akel said Kirklin has a prior felony conviction from another state.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $50,000 bond for Kirklin after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with aggravated assault and terroristic threatening. He was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Aug. 8.
