A $10,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Jefferson County man who allegedly pointed a gun at a neighbor and threatened to kill him.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Barry Beasley, 64, with aggravated assault.
Reading from an affidavit by Sheriff’s Investigator Rodney Allen, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 7:56 p.m. Tuesday, a deputy was sent to a reported armed disturbance on Anderson Road.
Allen reported that the victim said when the scooter stopped, “Barry pulled out a firearm and said ‘I will kill you.’”
Beasley was ordered to have no contact with the victims and told to come back to court Aug. 2.
