On Saturday night June 29, 2024, just before 10:00 PM, Officers of the PBPD responded to a reported shooting at 4321 S. Olive, Village Green Apartments. When officers arrived, they were met by witnesses who directed them to #21. The door to apartment #21 was open and a male, later identified as 28-year-old Tamar’k Jack, was lying face down inside the apartment door. Jack had suffered several apparent gunshot wounds and was unresponsive. Officers searched the apartment and found no other victims. Tamar’k Jack was pronounced dead at the scene by a representative of the Jefferson County Coroner’s Office.
This homicide is still in the early stages of the investigation and the circumstances leading to this murder are still under investigation. There was no suspect information released to the public.
