During a court hearing Monday, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West explained the details of Lampkin’s arrest.

West said Lampkin has prior convictions for theft of property, breaking or entering and on drug related charges.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set a $7,500 bond for Lampkin after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge him with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Lampkin was not charged with theft pending further investigation. He was told to come back to court July 17.
