One person was killed, and three others injured in a two-vehicle accident in Lonoke Sunday.
According to a preliminary report, Danny Williams, 45, of Lonoke was westbound on Front Street in a 2016 Chevrolet Silverado when the vehicle ran a red light and was hit by a 2012Honda Accord driven by Rita Kimble, 66, also of Lonoke in the intersection of Front and Center Streets.
After impact, the Chevrolet rotated counterclockwise and struck a traffic light pole.
Williams was killed and Kimble and two minor passengers in her vehicle were injured and taken to hospitals.
The accident was reported at 8 a.m. and the death was the 224th so far this year on the state’s highways.
