A series of deadly tornados swept across mostly Northwest Arkansas Saturday night resulted in what media sources say are at least eight dead and many more injured.
At least three people died in Benton County and at least three others were killed in Marion County.
The National Weather Service confirmed that an EF3 tornado hit Boone County where at least one person is known to have died.
Power remains out to multiple people in the area as search and rescue efforts are underway.
Governor Sarah Huckaby Sanders has issued a state of emergency order and was expected to tour the affected area Monday.
