A $5,000 bond was set Monday for a Pine Bluff man who allegedly pointed a gun at six people during an altercation Sunday.

Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge James Hinshaw, 69, with six counts of aggravated assault.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Jason Boykin, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said on Sunday at 1:35 p.m., police were sent to 207 E. 26th Ave., in response to a reported armed disturbance.

Police at the scene also spoke to several witnesses who told the same story and said Hinshaw pointed the gun at all of them.

Officers also talked to Hinshaw who said this.

Hinshaw was told to have no contact with the victims and to come back to court June 11. He said he would hire his own attorney.
