A Pine Bluff man wanted for capital murder in 2022 has been arrested in Oregon.
According to a press release from the Eugene Police Department, Rickey Lamont Howard Jr., 23 was taken into custody on warrants from Jefferson County that charged him in the Jan. 8, 2022 shooting death of Calvin Kirklin, 55, who was found dead in a parking lot at 2200 W. 10th Ave.
According to the press release, an officer with the Eugene Police Department saw a parked vehicle that matched the description of one that Violent Crime Detectives had associated with Howard and after other officers responded to the scene and Howard, who was sleeping under a blankets was ordered out and taken into custody.
He is being held pending extradition back to Pine Bluff.
Howard and three other individuals, Steven Grady, 22, Roderick Marks, 22, and Rahm Clay, 18, are all charged with Aggravated robbery, committing a terroristic act and capital murder.
According to a probable cause affidavit, the men shot Kirklin while attempting to rob him while he was sitting in his vehicle.
