A Pine Bluff man was arrested on June 9th after his 11-year-old granddaughter reported that he touched her inappropriately.
Reading from a probable cause affidavit by Detective Lakencia Smith Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said that officers were dispatched to Sheraton Park Drive regarding a sexual act involving 56-year-old Tyrone Lever. Carson explained what the victim said when officers arrived.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $25,000 secured bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Lever with sexual assault in the second degree.
A no-contact order was set for his granddaughter and was ordered to appear in court on July 19th. Lever said he would hire his own attorney.
