$25,000 bond set Tuesday for Pine Bluff man accused of stalking a woman

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Shamario Almond, 29, with second-degree stalking.

Reading from an affidavit by Pine Bluff Police Detective Mike Merritt, Deputy Prosecutor Lisa McGriff said on Saturday, the female victim contacted police and reported she was being stalked by Almond.

McGriff said Almond was advised of his rights and agreed to give a statement without an attorney being present.

Almond, who McGriff said had no prior convictions or pending charges was ordered to have no contact with the victim and said he would hire his own attorney.
