Deltaplex News has confirmed that Pine Bluff School District Superintendent Barbara Warren is out as Superintendent of the district. It is not clear if she was fired or stepped down. She will be replaced by Jennifer Barbaree in January 2023. Barbaree has been a school Principal in Lonoke and Watson Chapel districts.
The Arkansas State Board of Education has appointed Barbaree as the Superintendent.
The state Board of Education recently appointed a 7 member limited authority board to help administer the district.
Warren had been in charge of the former Dollarway district for many years and was named Pine Bluff Superintendent as well in May of 2020.
