The White Hall School District held its regular monthly meeting Tuesday approving several action items on its agenda and updating the board on distinct reports and recognitions from the district.
The board approved the consent agenda of the request to use various facilities to host the White Hall Middle School band and two special Olympics events for February and April of 2023. After those items were approved Jones presented the recognitions from the district.
The board also approved the proposed budgets of expenditures through July 1, 2024, a bid for cafeteria freezers, disbursing officer of the board, and a revised sick leave bank policy.
During the administrative report, the board first discussed the financial report which is over 1.2 million more than last period with a current total balance of approximately $7.5 million.
Debbie Jones presented the instructional report to the board discussing a new partnership with the Arkansas Public School Resource Center that offers a program that will help the distinct develop data to access students’ academics.
Jones also specified that report cards will also be updated so that parents will have access to view where their child needs help if they are struggling with a specific subject.
The district’s superintendent Gary Williams gave a few updates on districts’ recognitions during his executive report.
Williams also mentioned that enrollment has decreased to a total of 3,012 students compared to October when the total was 3,028.
