When Arkansas voters go to the polls on Nov. 8, one of the things they will be voting on is an amendment legalizing recreational marijuana in the state.
Eddie Armstrong, a representative of Responsible Growth Arkansas, the organization responsible for putting the issue on the ballot joined the Oldies 1013 morning show and was asked why he was involved.
The state board of election commissioners and the secretary of state attempted to keep the issue off the ballot, contending, according to Armstrong, “certain parts of the ballot title didn’t contain enough meat on the bo9nes such as how much THC has got to be in the products in the future, things like that” but the state supreme court struck that down.
Morning show host Greg Horne asked Armstrong about current support for the proposal and Armstrong answered this way.
California and Colorado were the first states to legalize recreational marijuana and Armstrong was asked about their legislation.
If the legislation is approved. Armstrong said the number of growing facilities would increase from 12 to 20 and the number of stores allowed to sell legal marijuana will total 120 across the state
