Jefferson County Judge Gerald Robinson on Wednesday talked with Deltaplex News about the status of a lawsuit filed by the City of Pine Bluff against Jefferson County over jail fees.
Robinson said at the time the original agreement had been worked out, Jefferson County’s population had several thousand more people and thought that an agreement on fees had been worked out after chief executives of all the cities in the county had gotten together to talk about the fees.
He said the lawsuit was “not a good look for the city or the county.”
Deltaplex News also asked Robinson about his relationship with Pine Bluff Mayor Shirley Washington and whether City Attorney Althea Hadden Scott “had her hand in the lawsuit.”
