There have been numerous reports of stolen vehicles in both Jefferson County and the City of Pine Bluff in recent weeks, and both departments are reporting a slight increase in reports in October compared to September.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office took four reports of stolen vehicles in September. For the month of October, the Sheriff’s Office has taken five reports with three days remaining in the month.
The City of Pine Bluff reported 21 stolen vehicles for the month of September. Currently there are 26 vehicles reported stolen for the month of October.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office does report that four of the vehicles reported stolen in the past two months have been recovered. The number of recovered vehicles for the City of Pine Bluff was not immediately available.
