A $50,000 bond was set Friday for an Enola man accused of trying to set gas pumps at Redfield on fire, then stealing a truck carrying a load of cut timber.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Ryan Olles, 31, with attempted arson, terroristic act, and theft of property.
Reading from an affidavit from Redfield Police Detective Terri Patterson, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said Redfield Police were sent to the Exxon Station at 1101 Sheridan Road at 7:44 p.m. where a white male had reportedly attempted to set the gas pumps on fire.
King said officers were not able to locate Olles at the time.
The following day, at 5:45 a.m. police, met with a victim who reported that his 1987 Tractor-Trailer loaded with cut logs had been stolen and security video showed the truck being taken at 10:16 p.m., then traveling south on Interstate 530.
The Public Defender’s Office was appointed to represent Olles and he was told to come back to court Dec. 2.
