A Pine Bluff woman was arrested Wednesday after she allegedly pointed a gun at two of her relatives.
April Dupree, 41, was taken into custody after police responded to a reported disturbance.
During a court hearing Friday, Deputy Prosecutor Mircha King said police spoke to two victims about the incident.
Detective Sgt. Ryan Moheb reported that police went to 1125 W. Pullen Ave., where the disturbance occurred, and saw Dupree who was standing on the porch. When she saw the police she went inside and locked the door and one of the victims came to the house and opened the door for the police.
Dupree was found in the living room and when asked about a gun, gave officers a handgun and told them the clip had not been in the gun when she pointed it at the victims.
She also said one of the victims had “bowed up at her and she felt threatened so she got the gun to protect herself.
Pine Bluff District Judge John Kearney set a $5,000 bond for Dupree after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge her with aggravated assault on a family or household member. She was ordered to have no contact with the victims until the case is settled.
