A $3,500 bond was set Friday for a Pine Bluff man accused of having drugs in his possession.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Jared Cole, 26, with possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Reading from an affidavit by White Hall Police Investigator Charles Treadway, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said that at about 9 p.m. Thursday, an officer was patrolling Dollarway Road when he saw a Chevrolet Silverado that was northbound that had a defective taillight.
