A $25,000 bond was set Wednesday for a woman who worked at the Randall Williams Correctional Facility on drug and contraband allegations.
Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors had probable cause to charge Shawn Whelan, 51, with furnishing prohibited articles.
The allegation is based on an affidavit by State Police Special Agent Huston Talley that was presented in court by Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel.
Whelan was told to come back to court May 21.
