A $25,000 bond was set for a Pine Bluff man previously convicted of felonies after a gun was found during a traffic stop.

Reading from a probable cause affidavit by Detective Kevin Kirk of the Pine Bluff Police Department, Deputy Prosecutor Joe West said that on February 13th officers conducted a traffic stop for speeding and other traffic violations which led to a search of the vehicle and the arrest of Jakee Washington, 20.

Due to Washington being on probation Pine Bluff District Judge Kim Bridgforth found probable cause to charge him with possession of a firearm by certain persons and theft by receiving.

Washington said he would hire his own attorney and was told to return to court on March 21st.
