A $15,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man accused of breaking into a house and stealing a laptop and iPad.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Taylor Johnson, 20, with residential burglary.

Reding from an affidavit from Detective Mike Merritt, Deputy Prosecutor Beth Carson said on Sunday, police were sent to a residence on Roane Avenue in response to a reported disturbance. The suspect identified as Johnson had already left and officers spoke to the victim.

Carson said Johnson declined to make a statement and was told to come back to court on Dec. 20. He said he would hire his own attorney.
