A$10,000 bond was set Wednesday for a Pine Bluff man arrested after being involved in an altercation Tuesday who damaged a police car after he was handcuffed.

Jefferson County District Judge Kim Bridgforth set the bond after ruling prosecutors have probable cause to charge Cory Hudson, 41, with criminal mischief, third-degree battery and resisting arrest.

Reading from an affidavit by Detective Sgt. Keith Banks, Deputy Prosecutor Brittaney Akel said at 11:50 a.m. Tuesday, police were sent to a disturbance at a residence on East 34th Avenue.

Akel said when Hudson was taken to a police car he kicked the side of the car, causing damage. According to an estimate from Faulkner Collision Center, repairing the damage would cost $1,493.52.

Hudson was told to come back to court May 21.
