EUDORA, Ark. — The Chicot County Sheriff’s Office has requested the Arkansas State Police (ASP) Criminal Investigation Division (CID) to investigate a house fire that left a 1-year-old boy dead.
The fire occurred on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at approximately 7:30 a.m. in the 900 block of North Pine Street in Eudora. A neighbor rescued a 6-year-old child by removing him from the home.
Firefighters found the deceased child after extinguishing the fire.
The deceased was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
ASP’s Fire and Explosive section will conduct an origin and cause investigation into the fire.
